1/2teaspoonhot sauceless if you prefer just a touch of heat
Instructions
Heat a medium saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the oil and let it heat up a bit then add the onions and sauté them until they are softened and translucent, about 5 minutes.
Add the garlic and cook for about one more minute.
Now add the, chili powder, black pepper and salt. Continue cooking for about 2 more minutes, stirring occasionally.
Now add the ketchup, brown sugar, yellow mustard, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, molasses, honey and hot sauce. Simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes with the lid off to thicken the sauce a bit, stirring occasionally. Let cool slightly, then pour the sauce into a container with a tight-fitting lid for storage.
This sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for a month or two.
