Preheat pellet grill smoker to 225 F degrees, it will take about 15 minutes.
Pour the chicken broth, apple cider vinegar, black pepper and salt in the bottom of a cast iron skillet or disposable aluminum pan.
Now pile the green beans into the pan in an even layer. Top with onion, minced garlic and bacon.
Place the pan into the smoker and close the lid. You'll be smoking green beans at 225 degrees F for 3 hours. NOTE: This is a great side dish for main dish recipes that are smoked at 225 F degrees.
Remove the pan from the smoker, top the green bean mixture with red pepper flakes, serve hot.
