The Standard – Hip Scottsdale restaurant created by Billy Sims who formerly worked as a chef on a private yacht. The menu is eclectic and bold and they have a fabulous brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. As “Good Neighbors”, they work with the Boys and Girls Clubs and The Cancer Treatment Center as well as different cancer foundations across the country.
Spinato’s – Chicago-style pizzeria family-owned business founded by Ken Spinato. They have five locations throughout the Valley. Their homemade Italian sausage puts their pizzas and calzones over-the-top. They just celebrated their 40th Anniversary in business and as a “Good Neighbor” each Spinato’s store raised money for a charity in the neighborhood.
Kim Hanna’s Camping For Foodies – Making Pumpkin Walnut Pancakes with a Mascarpone Drizzle at the campsite in the Usery Mountain Regional Park. This is a recipe created to celebrate the “pumpkin frenzy” of the fall season which is a lightened version of a pumpkin roll Kim’s mom makes during the holiday seasons. As a “Good Neighbor”, she donates a portion of her proceeds to World Vision-Building a Better World for Children.
