Sunday Inspiration: Use your talents, don’t let fear stop you
Do you let fear stop you?
One of my favorite things about camping is unplugging and having time to really reflect on my life. I recently heard Rick Warren talk about God’s expectation of us to use the talents He gave us. When you think about it, we are all uniquely and wonderfully made and we all have something different to give to the world. My ‘ah ha’ moment was realizing that God wants all of us to take risks! He does not want us to just play it safe and let fear of failure stop us from doing what he designed us to do. When you look at failure from a not-so-normal perspective, you minimize your fear of failing which allows you to move forward in faith rather than be paralyzed by fear. As Pastor Rick points out: Failure is not bad, it is actually a good thing…it is how you learn what doesn’t work. Psst we’re compensated…see our disclosures.

Take time to unplug and reflect on your next camp trip
I can’t begin to really describe how exciting it is to have ‘ah ha’ moments when you allow yourself the luxury of time to reflect on your life. The hectic pace of a busy daily life makes scheduling reflection time a challenge. Soooo, I encourage you to use a bit of your next camping adventure to indulge in some time to do some deep thinking about your life…you’ll be glad you did!
