The Hub Grill and Bar – This Mesa-based restaurant is not just named “The Hub”…it is their mission. Chris is the general manager and explained they are the social hub in the community and as a sports pub they specialize in beer and wings…but they have a whole lot more! Chef Josh took us through the kitchen showing off his Chipotle Smoked Skins which are house smoked jumbo bakers filled with chipotle cheese sauce, mixed cheese and wonderful crispy bacon. He also gave up a few secrets with his Iowa Pork Sandwich which is served on a brioche but with mayo, roasted garlic and scallions. The Hub has over 70 beers so you’ll never go thirsty! As “Good Neighbors” the #HubNation is always giving back to the community.

Lo-Lo’s Chicken & Waffles – This Arizona-based favorite has locations throughout the Valley and was founded by Larry “Lo-Lo” White who learned how to cook from his grandmother and father. Not only do the locals love Lo-Lo’s, the celebs do too…some well knowns include Charles Barkley, Muhammad Ali and many of the Phoenix Suns players. Larry says if you keep God first and work hard, good results will come back to you. Lo-Lo’s is famous for their chicken and waffles but they also have Oreo Pancakes on their menu (no explanation needed) and their Uncle Brotha’s Shrimp and Grits are just about world-famous. You will soon be able to buy Lo-Lo’s syrup, hot sauce and pancakes in grocery stores nationwide. As a “Good Neighbor”, Lo-Lo’s has an annual backpack drive called “Tools for School” as well as supporting other various causes.

Kim Hanna’s Camping For Foodies – making Dutch Oven Lasagna at the campsite. It took agreeing to be on ‘campfire clean-up duty’ for the rest of the year to get her brother-in-law to allow her to share his secret recipe on TV! Little did he know, she loves that duty…feeling like a kid again and playin’ in the dirt is part of Kim’s appreciation of unplugging from modern society when she goes camping. The oven-ready noodles make this a super easy campsite recipe while the wine and fresh herbs add the extra layers of flavor that make this a foodie lasagna experience. As a “Good Neighbor” Kim donates a portion of her proceeds to World Vision-Building a Better World for Children.

Tune in next week for another action-packed episode!
