Music and camping just go together! Sunday Inspiration via Waiting Hill

Whether you are in an RV (with a state-of-the-art sound system…some of which would make you swear you were in the front row of a live concert!), in a tent or sleeping directly under the stars, camping and music just go together.

Sure, when camping there are times to be silent, listen to the sounds of nature and get deep in your own thoughts … but there are other times you just want to rock out to tunes that nurture your soul.

Camping requires periods of quiet temporarily interrupted with blasts of great music

Classics are always great and the current chart toppers are amazing too but it’s even better to find a lesser-known band before they make it really big.

Let me introduce you to Waiting Hill which is comprised of Mark Chambers, Chris Davis, Wesley Wilson, Jonathan Keener and Todd Church.

Their music is slightly disruptive, sort of raspy, totally raw, full of hope and always from the heart.  But, that’s not all…here’s something else I love about them…

THE LONG ROAD HOME

I want people who listen to our music to find a message of hope, inspiration and almost a form of stubbornness that generates a mindset that says ‘no matter what may come at me each day, I’m not going to let it keep me down. I’m moving on and looking towards greater things to come…’ – Mark Chambers, Vocalist

Moving On from The Long Road Home is one of my new favorite camping tunes…well, actually, it is one of my new favorite tunes…period. I’m thinking you’ll love it too! Check it out, here is the official music video…

I think you’ll agree, these guys won’t stay “lesser-known” for long!  I hope you take time on your next camp trip to get inspired by great music between your moments of silence and sounds of nature.

P.S. One of my favorite ways to listen includes indulging in a freshly-squeezed lemonade and a bowl of my Rosemary Spiced Nuts camp recipe!!!  Come on, you knew food had to be involved somewhere…right?!?
