Snugglin’ In The Hammock Cocktail: Tropical & Sweet, Cool & Refreshing

Do you like your camping cocktails shaken or stirred? I prefer my camping drinks shaken and strained. I’m not sure where my preference came from. Maybe it was James Bond. Maybe it was from a friend who told me shaking a martini helps to get out the aggressions from your day … but when you’re camping you don’t have any aggression in your day! Maybe it’s because the drink is icy cold and frothy!

Whatever the influence, the agitated mix of flavors in this Snugglin’ In The Hammock Cocktail will keep you coming back for more. What’s not to love about this sweet & fruity, cool & refreshing adult beverage?

How To Get Cocktails Really Cold

There is no better way to get a drink really cold than to shake it with ice.

We love our 5-piece camping cocktail shaker because it is stainless steel which means it gets drinks really cold almost immediately, it won’t break during travel, it has a sleek design and it has a fun camp-themed message. It makes a great gift that you don’t even have to wrap because it comes in a decorative box!

What Are Hammock Cocktails?

One of the things that people associate with a tropical paradise is swinging in a hammock and relaxing with a cool beverage.

Bananas are also part of tropical themes, so many hammock cocktails include a banana liqueur or a homemade banana syrup. When you make a version with some sort of banana ingredient, the cocktail is usually called a Banana Hammock Drink.

Our version does not include banana. We use peach, orange and cranberry to create our tropical version of this amazingly delicious cocktail.

How To Make This Sweet & Fruity Drink

You’re going to put some ice in your cocktail shaker then you’ll add the vodka, peach schnapps, orange juice and cranberry juice.

Now, shake it like you mean it … then … shake some more! Don’t underestimate the importance of shaking your cocktails really well. They get well blended, get super cold and have a nice frothy top once you pour them into your glass!

I like using real martini glasses because the drink is pretty and they have a nice feel when you are drinking from a stemmed glass.

There are non-breakable clear plastic martini glasses that are great for traveling.
