Do you freak out when you see a bug? I used to have a fear of bugs that would make any self-respecting city girl proud. I mean, when the critters come in to MY space—without an invitation—I can’t help the immediate reaction to reach for the closest eradication tool and prepare the weapon for massive annihilation (even if it is just a flip flop)! Camping taught me to love bugs
But, my bug opinion changed when I started invading THEIR territory! Suddenly I “expected” to see the critters in “their” space. I also appreciated their magnificence yet fragile nature (best seen with the help of a good camera lens). Some of these creepy-crawlies look like they stepped off the Red Carpet in L.A. wearing the hottest fashion designer’s creation. I mean—they look phenomenal!!! And to think, these fascinating creatures hit the stage without any help from the human beauty gurus!
So, I say sit down with a bowl of popcorn and your favorite beverage, watch this video and pick your favorite for “Best Dressed Bug” from the Patagonia Lake impromptu fashion show. And, if you ever make it there to see the show first-hand, don’t forget to bring your camera and be set for speed—some of these guys seem to approach the speed of light!
