One of the best places to camp on July 4th is in National Forests.
If your favorite campgrounds are booked, you can easily find a remote camping site available inside the Forests.
For our family, it is actually our preferred style of camping but if you have never done it before, there are rules you need to be aware of before you go … you’ll find tons of tips in our Camping In National Forests post.
Also, the authorities place fire restrictions on National Forest land when the conditions are dangerous and they are especially cautious when the crowds are big and camping on July 4th is one of those times.

I have a huge list of camp stove recipes … all can be made using a propane stove but many can also be made with a camp fire or charcoal briquettes.
