When it comes to easy camping meals these 5 ingredient wraps are a hit!

How To Make BLT Camping Wraps

Toss the salad ingredients together and roll them up in a tortilla to make easy camping lunches or a light dinner.

Step 1. Fry the bacon In a skillet or on a griddle you will fry the bacon until it is crispy. Then drain it on paper towels to remove excess grease and chop or crumble it into bite sized pieces.

Camp Cooking Tip: Make extra bacon for breakfast and store it in a cooler until you are ready to make these wraps. I do that for my Bacon Basil Tomato Ciabatta Sandwich Recipe too.

Step 2. Prep the veggies. You will be chopping the lettuce and slicing the tomatoes into bite sized pieces.

Camp Cooking Tip: Use a sturdy lettuce variety rather than a delicate one to ensure freshness. Get our tips to make your produce last longer and more camping veggies hacks.

Step 3. Toss the ingredients together. You will be tossing the bacon, mayonnaise, lettuce and tomatoes together to evenly coat the mixture.

  • This is the secret to really tasty camping wraps … tossing the ingredients together marries the flavors rather than just layering ingredients.

Step 4. Wrap it up. Now you will pile the ingredient mixture in the center or your tortilla and then roll it up to create the hand-held wrap.

  • Individual sandwiches are great options when you are making camping meals for two.
  • If you want to prepare these wraps as make ahead camping meals, you just need to wrap them in plastic wrap or parchment paper and place them in a cooler until you are ready to eat them.
  • Camping wraps make wonderful road trip food ideas that can easily be eaten in a traveling vehicle.

Pairings

I like keeping sides really simple with these wraps. Potato chips or potato salad are nice options. If I’m really strapped for time I’ll just pick something up at the deli counter while I’m grocery shopping.

Super yummy and great alternative to a simple sandwich. We now make some extra slices of bacon in the morning so we can whip these up for lunch the next day. My kids absolutely love them.

Hi Zelda! I’m happy your kids love these! It’s always nice to get some leafy green veggies into their diets, even if they are mixed with bacon! LOL Happy Camping, Kim
